Picking the Perfect Colours for Your Outfit

When selecting colours for a photo shoot, consider your skin tone, favourite hues, and the overall colour scheme you'd like to achieve:

Skin Tone

Choosing colours that complement your skin tone can enhance your appearance in photos. For instance:

  • Cool skin tones: Shades like blue, lavender, and soft pinks often look flattering.

  • Warm skin tones: Colours such as red, peach, or coral tend to work well.

Colour Palette

Decide on a color palette for a coordinated look. Complementary colours (those opposite each other on the colour wheel) or analogous colours (those next to each other) can create a harmonious effect.

Bright Colours

While bright colours can add vibrancy, they might also reflect light or draw focus away from your face. Opt for toned-down versions or pastel shades for a balanced look.

Neutrals

Neutral tones are classic and versatile. Lighter shades like white and cream or darker ones like navy and black can serve as either focal points or subtle backdrops.

Black

Black works well in well-lit settings but may obscure details in group photos if everyone wears it. Consider balancing black with lighter or contrasting colours for variety.

Avoid Patterns and Large Logos

Clothing with bold patterns or large logos can be distracting in photos and may clash with other outfits. Solid colours or subtle designs are a safer choice for creating a clean and cohesive look.

Planning your outfits in advance and aligning them with your chosen palette will help ensure cohesive and visually appealing results!
